Santa Claus Visits Fremont 2011
Christmas in Fremont sponsored by the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce takes place in the early part of December in downtown Fremont. Santa Claus
arrives at the Fremont Fire Department on a Fire Department truck at 11 am to a crowd of over 125 youngsters anxious to let jolly old Saint Nick know their Christmas wishes.
The children decorate a picture frame for the picture they have taken with Santa Claus and receive a candy cane courtesy of Farmers State Bank. The Fremont Public Library staff help the children with craft projects and distribute books. The library also hosts a movie after Santa's visit for the children. The Fremont American Legion Ladies Auxiliary provide cookies and hot for the participants.
The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the families who attended the event and all our sponsors who helped out.
