WHO WE ARE
The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary, non-profit organization which brings together businesses, professionals, and concerned citizens to utilize their ideas and talents to aid in promoting a balanced community development. BUT most important, the Chamber is people...people just like you who realize that through the Chamber they can accomplish collectively what no one can do individually. The strength of the Chamber lies in developing a pool of resources from which to draw ideas, energy and finances.
WHAT WE DO
The Chamber’s policies and priorities are established by its eight member Board of Directors. The officers of the Chamber include President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The Chamber Board meetings are held the third Friday of each month and any Chamber member is welcomed to attend. The Chamber also hold quarterly After-Hours meetings and encourage our members to attend and participate, these meetings provide for an opportunity to keep you informed of local happenings and also provides an opportunity to exchange ideas, experiences and fellowship with your peers in the business community. The Chamber is an information center that answers questions and forwards information concerning all facets of Fremont from businesses, products, services, retail, and tourism as well as demographic information. The office maintains a database of chamber members with addresses, phone numbers and business contacts.
The Chamber presents a united business front on behalf of the business community pertaining to various legislative issues and assists you in keeping current on business trends and issues that can directly affect your business. Each year the Chamber sponsors the Fremont “Music Fest” in July and “Christmas in Fremont” the first Saturday of December. The Chamber, Fremont American Legion and Fremont Town Employees continue to work together to show patriotism with the flag program. The Chamber is actively working with the Town of Fremont on a downtown revitalization program.

A Message from your
Fremont Area Chamber President:
What I Hope We Can Accomplish Together
Anytime you take on a new responsibility, like leading an organization such as the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce, you have to begin by thanking the past leadership and the membership of the group. I appreciate the faith and support of the members in selecting me to help lead the Chamber forward. Thanks for the dedication and hard work of the past president, Lon Keyes, and each and every one of the Board of Directors. They have all spent considerable time working to promote and improve the Fremont community. The activities of the Chamber of Commerce are all aimed at increasing opportunities for businesses to succeed in the Fremont community. The Chamber leadership works to improve not only their own business but every other business within the community and when local businesses are successful, the entire community prospers.
It takes the combined efforts of many individuals dedicated to their community to make the Chamber of Commerce successful. I encourage everyone, in business or not, to get involved in working to improve the Fremont area. Please feel free to speak with me or any member of the Board of Directors with your ideas and thoughts. A positive attitude along with good old fashioned hard work can enable Fremont and its business community to grow and prosper. We need the participation of the Chamber membership to make this organization the best it can be.
Thank you again for your past support of the Chamber and I look forward to working with you in the coming year to foster that positive attitude to move Fremont forward. Let us have a great 2008.
Chris Snyder
